Not sure how but here is what it looks like when I leave build mode. The season was summer and it had 7 days left until the next season so it's on the default calendar.
@1003170 I take it you've tried quitting and reloading, and it hasn't helped? It would be useful to see whether changing the season fixed the issue too, as in, maybe it's broken now, but once the season turns over in-game, the appropriate items will show up, and the rest will disappear. You don't have to play things out—let the clock run for 24 sim-hours, and if nothing changes, just set the season length to 3 days and fast forward. You can quit without saving when you're done.
If that doesn't help, please open your save, and use "save as" to rename the save, so you can experiment on the new copy and go back to the original if necessary. Save the lot to the in-game bin, then bulldoze it. Quit to desktop and delete the five cache files in your Sims 3 user data folder in Documents\Electronic Arts. For reference, they are:
- CASPartCache.package
- compositorCache.package
- scriptCache.package
- simCompositorCache.package
- socialCache.package
Reload the new copy of the save, and place the lot down. Save, quit, delete the cache files again, reload, and have a look. If the objects still overlap, quit to desktop, launch the game, start a new save, and place the lot there instead, just to see what happens.

@1003170 Separate from the above suggested troubleshooting; I loaded a festival lot of my own, that I built following this guide:
https://forums.thesims.com/en_US/discussion/604761/seasons-guide-to-seasonal-lot-markersand had some overlapping objects as well. The guide is not exact as to what kind of objects do not work in each mode, and which objects are possible to overlap; but I think one reason for my objects overlapping is that one of them was from debug.
Did you also follow the above guide? If not, could you link the guide you used. You might need to think on the categories of the objects overlapping, and try to exchange each one to something else, to see if it happens to every object, or just some. I'll do the same on my lot, and update.
I am thinking particularly on the advices under these headings:
Quote from the guide I linked above, post one:"What happens to parent or child objects when editing a lot with a Seasonal Lot Marker?"
"What happens if I try and split a modular object across different versions of a lot?"
And in post two:"What objects can be placed on the different modes of a Seasonal Lot Marker and rotate throughout the year?"
"What objects can't be placed in different versions of a lot with a Seasonal Lot Marker?"
"What objects should never be placed in versions of the lot other than Common mode?"
It's interesting, intriguing, and perhaps a little irritating, that the list in all these three places ends with etc. 🙂
