To answer your question, if you didn't get an answer elsewhere already, Sims 3 should run just fine on any ARM Mac, including this M2 MacBook Air.  The 64-bit version has some issues that are independent of the hardware, but those are mostly inconvenient to irritating, not game-breaking.
