I'm having this issue too. Pretty much just as explained.
I just wanted to mention that it looks like (at least in my game) when the game opens to the town select screen it actually does log me in for a fraction of a second and then it vanishes and asks me to do a new user registration again... and constantly on any online thing I might click on.
