This black texture inside the walls/on the edges is on all my lots in Sunset Valley. The only thing I was able to do to get rid of it was start a completely new save (with all the same mods), but I really want to play on this save. I've cleared caches and that doesn't solve it. My settings are all on high and I play in borderless windowed mode, although switching to fullscreen and/or switching resolutions doesn't do anything either. Please help!
xxgraciela Do you mean that the tops of the walls are black rather than gray? Or is it something else? I don't see any other issues, but maybe I'm missing something.
Please also let me know whether changing the season helps. Bring up the cheats console (crtl-shift-C) and enter testingcheatsenabled true , then shift-click the ground, select Seasons, and try summer with at least warm weather (rather than fall with frost on the ground). It will probably take a sim-hour or two to get the full effect. You don't need to save your progress; this is just for testing.
Yes, the tops of the walls being black or the texture missing is the issue. I just tried switching seasons and weather to warm summer and waited for everything to change, but the problem persisted. I've tried searching for anyone having the same issue and I can't find anything. Hopefully something comes up because I hate the look of it lol.
xxgraciela As another test, evict the household, save the house to the bin, bulldoze the lot, place the copy, and move your sims back in. (If they somehow don't have enough money, you can use the freerealestate on cheat.) Do so in summer first, and if that works, you can try it in fall with the frost present, as it is in your current save state.
If this doesn't work, try placing the house on a different lot, one that's currently blank.
