Also the installed worlds don't show up in game when picking new game. On top of not showing in game once installed there's another issue. The installed content resets once I open the launcher again and I have to do the installation all over again. I don't understand what's going wrong. It's been so long since I've used downloadable content I don't remember how this works but I don't think I ever had this issue before. Hopefully someone can help me out so I can use these worlds in my game.
RexyStorms The Sims 3 launcher doesn't handle large amounts of data very well. Trying to install multiple worlds at once counts as a large amount of data. I don't know whether you did that the first time too, but it's possible you broke the Store installed content, in which case reinstalling it isn't going to fix it. Instead, please install the content into a clean folder, as described here:

You can move your saves and other content to the new folder once you're done.

I installed a world successfully and it showed up in the game. But when I launched the launcher again it has uninstalled itself again. So a fresh folder didn't fully fix the issues. Never mind it's somehow showing up installed in the launcher now.

Tried installing another world and I get the initial error again, The one I attached to the first post.
RexyStorms Is your user folder inside a OneDrive folder? I mean the Sims 3 folder in Documents > Electronic Arts, the one that has subfolders like Saves and Library and DCCache. To find out, right-click the folder and select Properties > General, then look at the Location.
Which worlds did you install first and second? It's possible that with two large worlds, the .ebc file the launcher is trying to create is too large even without any other content added. Please also let me know whether you own and are planning to install any Store content that isn't a world. Sometimes the order of installation can help here.

Yes it's in the onedrive folder. I've not been able to move the documents folder elsewhere. l installed Barnacle Bay and it worked out fine. The second I tried was Sunlit Tides. That one failed.
RexyStorms This guide explains how to deal with OneDrive, either the "I don't want OneDrive to sync my files" or "I want to get rid of OneDrive," depending on your preference:

I would have to double-check the world sizes, but I suspect that Barnacle Bay plus Sunlit Tides puts the .ebc file they're installing to over the size the launcher can handle well. That's why I asked whether you had other non-world Store content to install. The idea is to install one world first, then progressively smaller sets until the .ebc file goes over the 204,800 KB limit where the launcher will make a new one, then install the next world.
Having said that, I don't actually know whether this is the issue, so please check DCCache and let me know how large dcdb0.ebc is after you've installed those two worlds but nothing else. And let me know whether moving Documents out of OneDrive helps.

I'm not syncing the game files but I do wonder if the installation issue is somehow related to onedrive. Like I'd like to be able install these worlds and I don't understand why a couple of them just won't install and the error message makes no sense to me. I'm thinking about nuking onedrive for good but I'm too used to it and I don't have anything in place to replace it. I just don't know enough about the alternatives let alone their costs. So I haven't made a move about it yet. And I'm worried I'll accidentally lose something important in the process. But I'll take a look once I have the brain power for it.

That file is 38 283 kb with Barnacle Bay installed and I've tried Sunlit Tides but it gave me the error message. So only one world has been fully installed since I made the fresh folder and started installing one by one. That's how far I've got out of 4 worlds.
