Re: Sims 3 says it needs an update before i can install the rest of my games but its already udated

When i right click it doesnt come up with either of these options

What is your base game version right now ?

Open the launcher and check the number in the lower left corner.

If you're not at 1.67, please update your game.

The patch i need also wont install. it comes up saying 'an error has occured'

sorry, it comes up with "update error: invalid file found " 

this does not work. all this done was make my screen go black and now my laptop is just running slow. i still cant play my addon games

Do you still get the same error message ? Does the launcher not start anymore ?
