What is the manual file or smaller one?

I am operating on a computer(not a mac) through origin.

I forgot but that is the Super Patcher that I tried to download but didn't work.

are you using firefox or IE? Chrome and Safari sometimes don't work. Also try clearing your internet browser before trying to download the patch. See if any of that works

I am using Internet Explorer.

Do you Have windows 8 or 8.1 , I forgot IE has new security and could be an issue, Try firefox

Ill have to post in the helpers corner and see if someone else has another solution but most people use firefox for the sims 3 web and Origin since that browser works best for EA webs.

What does didn't work mean ? DId you download the 1.6 GB to your hard drive, then run that from the place where you downloaded it ? Close the launcher and the game while running the patch.

What I meant is that I tried to download the patch. It downloaded successfully but when I tried to open it, it said that this version cannot be found. I have tried it multiple times.

Crin this is why I posted this thread in the helpers corner because OP can not patch at all even with manual super patch TY!!

Could you post the exact wording of that message ? You mean the patch could not find the game ?

Yes it couldn't fnd the version of the game.

Do you have the game installed to the default location ?

What does that mean?

Did you install it to the location the game suggested or did you change that ?

What does that mean
