  • @vampzfye  I've moved your post to its own thread since, from your dxdiag (thanks for posting one, by the way) and your description, you're not seeing the same issue as is covered in the DX9 thread.

Please try uninstalling and reinstalling .NET Framework 3.5.  Hit Windows key-R, enter "appwiz.cpl" without quotes, click "Turn Windows features on or off," and .NET 3.5 will be near the top of the list.  Click the filled-in box next to it to uninstall, then restart your computer.  Repeat the process, this time clicking the now-empty box to install .NET 3.5, and restart again.  If it's not already installed, just click the box once and restart.

If you can get the launcher open, you'll also need to apply one of the workarounds in this thread to get the game itself to load:

    https://answers.ea.com/t5/Technical-Issues-PC/Sims-3-won-t-open-Alder-Lake-Intel-12th-gen-CPU/m-p/11057820#M248615

Apply the approach of your choice to TS3.exe, without the W, since you've installed through the EA App.

Hello again! I am now able to open the launcher (thank you!) but now when I try to play, it says that I do not have .dll. I have downloaded the DirectX 9 fully and restarted my PC but I am still getting this error message ☹️

@vampzfye  Please post a screenshot or the full text of the error message you're seeing.  Your new dxdiag shows that you've had two crashes related to the Alder Lake issue, but these don't produce any error message at all.  So it's more likely that you've gotten past that particular impediment and are now seeing a different error.
