It is not crashing to desktop, my entire computer is crashing -- it is actually crashing in the exact same manner I saw before I upgraded to a computer capable of playing the Sims, locking up and black-screening so that I need to restart. Did all of the hardware in the dx diag look adequate to play the game?
My EPs are: Ambitions, Late Night, Town Life Stuff, Pets, Supernatural, Seasons, and Island Paradise.
I have no mods and my only "custom content(?)" is from the official sims storeFrom what I see here: http://simswiki.info/wiki.php?title=Game_Help:TS3_System_Requirements the 240 might be a little weak and maybe lowering all graphics settings might help.
Also try updating the drivers.
If the entire computer crashes it could also be a hardware issue though. Maybe check on the temperature.
