Re: Stuck on connecting Sims 3 on Mac

@crdi1126  You don't actually need to sign in at the Main Menu, or in the launcher for that matter.  The game plays exactly the same without an active login; the only missing features are the abilities to send gifts to your friends, to buy store stuff in-game rather than using the site, to earn in-game badges, and of course to use the Simport feature from Showtime.

If you do want to troubleshoot this issue, try changing your password to something with only letters and numbers, no special characters.  Then open Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 3 > Downloads, and delete the file labeled [your email].bin.

I deleted that and had no luck. I didn't sign in on the launch page and it still tries to connect, I'm so confused on why it's trying?

@crdi1126  I don't know, maybe there's a "keep me signed in" option that got enabled somewhere?  I don't sign in when playing, so I know this isn't normal.

Please try clearing Safari's browser cache, as well as the cache for your default browser if it's not Safari.  If the game still tries to sign you in, move the Sims 3 folder out of Documents > Electronic Arts and onto your desktop, then launch the game and try again.  A new Sims 3 folder will spawn with no content; if this fixes the problem, you can move your saves and other content from the old folder to the new one.  Don't move everything though, just the files you need.  Let me know if you'd like help with the process.
