What worked for me was going into program files and coppying the launcher autorun thingy to the desktop.

@BethanyH1994 What happens when you press Play in Origin? Have you ever had two EA/Origin accounts merged?
For me the play button on origin is not clickable at all. No message when hovering, nothing happens when I click on the icon on my desktop.
Also, what is the file name for the launcher?
I have launchermanifest.pid and Sims3LauncherLogfile
someone suggested doing something with the launcher on the files, but I don't know what or how. Any tips? thanks

@liviones The usual suggestion is to go into Documents\Electronic Arts and move the entire Sims 3 folder to your desktop. That would allow the game to create a new folder (without any of the potentially corrupt files from the previous folder), that is, if the game opens at all.

The same thing happened to me today, I've never had any problems with the sims, and i actually had two of my accounts merged today, so that should explain why sims 3 doesn't launch. Anyway I've spoken with customer support and hopefully they'll help me tomorrow. But I wanted to play so bad haha it's been years since last time i played.
What if the game never creates that file. I just downloaded today and I can't get the launcher to even pop up let alone try to run the game. I have copied the launcher application to my desktop...nothing. I tried bypassing by trying to run the TS3.exe file....and nothing. I'm desperate.
