Re: The Sims 3 Mac Error Downloading Content

Ever since I switched my launcher from origin to EA I am unable to download any of my store content, and when I login to my sims 3 account in the launcher it just shows up blank. I've seen other tips for Mac users but they don't work/haven't been relevant to me. Can anyone please help? Desperate to play again!

@techemia  Does your computer run Windows or macOS?  Does it help to move the Sims 3 folder out of Documents > Electronic Arts and onto your desktop, to allow the game to spawn a clean folder?  Doing this will remove (but not delete) your saves and other content, which can be restored later.

As a side note, you shouldn't need to sign into the launcher to download Store content.  If you're being asked to do so, try a different browser, for example Firefox works better with the Store site than Chrome or Edge.

Thank you for your response. This was on my mac, it kept showing up with error message {0}. I’ve given up trying to get it to work on mac and will stick with windows.

@techemia  I've merged your posts with the master thread for this issue.  It would be great if you could at least generate an EA App error report (immediately after trying to install the content and getting this error) so EA has more data.  Here's how:

    https://help.ea.com/en/help/ea/ea-app/run-ea-error-report/

Please post the report ID in this thread.  I don't know whether anything will come out of it, but I've flagged the problem a couple of times, so it's on EA's radar at least.
