@Ballrof There are many reasons an install of VC++ may fail and the only solution I have found is to uninstall and reinstall VC++. This can be done by going to Microsoft and downloading the the installer for the version you are looking for. The latest version should be backwards compatible but I have found some programs (games) require a specific previous version to run correctly so you may have more then one version installed. The game installer usually checks to see if VC++ is already installed. If the installer finds no version installed (or the version the game requires) the installer then tries to install a version of the VC++ runtime module. This is just a module that is called by programs and not the complete C++ compiler and is not a stand alone program. hth
