Are you still around this site being a hero and helping people out? 🙂 Because if you are, I could really use some help. I had to returned my first laptop and now, come to find out today, I'm returning the second one. I'm trying to play sims 3 with supernatural, pets, ambitions and hot date. My laptop choices keep freezing and I'm not quite sure why. Maybe graphics (intel iris xe) or the 60hz refresh rate. 

Now I'm even more uncertain what to buy. My budget is $1000. Please somebody help me!

    @bookwormpizza Oh wow that's so crazy! I just did what u did lol i just bought a nice hp last week. 12gb ram,i5, Intel iris xe graphics all spiffy name and stuff. Installed sims 3,supernatural, pets, and ambitions. The laptop would freeze up 30 minutes or so into the game. This is the second one I've returned! I'm trying to understand this graphic card stuff but ughhh I just want to play sims and watch you tube videos! Why is it so difficult?! Lol

    @NicoleMcC25  There could be any number of issues with Sims 3, from the Pets expansion being too demanding for your graphics chip to save corruption.

    Please move the entire Sims 3 folder out of Documents\Electronic Arts and onto your desktop.  When you launch the game, a clean folder will spawn with no content.  Don't add anything to it yet; just start a new save in Sunset Valley and let me know how it runs.

    Please also run a dxdiag and attach it to a post.
