Re: Warning: Graphic Device no found in Database: 0x0a16 "Intel (R) HD Graphics Family" PT 1

The integrated graphics chips (cpu and gpu on same chip) is Intel® HD Graphics 4400 and 0x0a16 is not in the gasme database. You would have to modify the .sgr files for the game to recognize the graphics. But that may not help as the chip has 0 dedicated video memory and the game requires a minimum of 128mb of dedicated video memory. This can not be added as this is part of the design of the computer. As integrated video chips keep getting more and more powerful they still have some way to go to handle heavy graphical games. While your computer may play the base game it may (probably) have problems with more demanding packs like PETS and Seasons (and others).

I don't understand at all. My computer is brand new and has a A5 chip whatever that means which is good on gaming,. and if its not strong enough why would the game set the graphic options to the lowest instead of the highest? when I ran the test it said found 0 match 1. I don't understand what you are saying. can you simplify. or tell me in the simpliest way how I can possible fix this issue and I am sure ive played the entire expansion on this computer before, my other computer is older and it plays so I doubt it has anything to do with weakness in my system

First off since your card is new the game will not recognize your video card. See link

Second your card may not be sutable to play this game. This game is very demanding. I can not post a link but you can google --- Mod The Sims 3 system requirements. New as well as old video cards are listed that the game can run on. I suggest you look at that web since it lists several things a computer needs to run the sims 3

What did you change since you played on it before ? Reinstall ?

Your DxDiag shows that the chip doesn't have any dedicated memory on the chip itself. If this is not the case, then maybe your computer does not recognize the chip properly.

The drivers seem a but outdated too so I would try updating those drivers and see if that helps with anything.
