Thank you for responding to my question. I made sure I was definitely inputting the correct letters/numbers. I actually tried later that day and instead of going through the install wizard I guess I was just signed onto Origin or something of the sort and it recognized that I had the game previously (which it also did later with Supernatural) so I just downloaded it from the site for no extra charge and it didn't even ask for the verification code. It did at first say I couldn't download it because I needed to update The Sims 3 but after I did that it seems to have worked. I guess it just fixed itself but thanks!
