red screen in sims3

when i try to go to sunset valley the entire town is red. some of the items in my sims home look normal but my sims look like a black cut out. This is what I was doing before this happened; I wanted to move my sims household to another town so I followed the directions from my sims phone. everything went smoothly but when I got to isla paradiso and it asked me to choose a household my sims household wasn't there. I went to the main screen and choose sunset valley again and my sims household was there from the point where I had saved them just before moving. It was late so I shut down the game and would try again the next day. I logged in the next day and sunset valley was red and sims were black cut outs. I went to isla paradiso and my sims household was still not there in the library.

One other thing that might have something to do with this problem, the repoman had arrived at my sims home just as we were moving but I went ahead and moved anyway.

I have a pc running on windows 7 and all my specs are above requirments. I have tried the all in one fix but it didn't do anything and I couldn't find anything in the faq that was similar to my problem. Please help if you can

I don't get any error messages

I have very few custom content that I use

I don't use any mods

I have the download version from Origin of the base game, Supernatural, Isla Paradiso, Pets and Barnacle Bay. Pets and Barnacle bay are not installed at the moment.

I reset the game to factory settings without reinstalling.

I went through the troubleshooting steps by crinrict.

My game has the current patch 1.67

I have tried the all in one fix(except harware issues).
