Redeemed Sims 3 codes but wont download as says only available on windows?

Hi there,

I have recently downloaded my Sims 3 games on my new Apple laptop.

I have redeemed a few codes but they are not available to download and has the message 'Available on Windows'.

Please assist me with this urgently.

  • Hi @CheyenneLeeMaria

It sounds like you're missing the 64-bit versions of these expansions on your account- while this isn't something I can check on for you over the forums, the live support team can review your account information a bit further and get the 64-bit versions of your packs added for you.

Please reach out to live support from the help site here so they can take a look with you: https://help.ea.com/en/help/faq/using-ea-help/

If you already have the 64-bit version on your account, but you have DLC missing in The Sims 3 launcher, please see this thread as well for more information.

  • hello, i want to play my sims 3 and expansion packs on my new mac. i used to play on windows, i had the sims 3 changed to 64 bit, and one advisor added a couple of the expansions/stuff packs.  however, all of these are greyed out and they are available on windows. I have spoken to a couple of advisors and the all said they won’t help because i purchased the games 2nd hand years ago, but the games are showing in my library so they were accepted by EA, please can someone advise me what to do? i want to play sims 3 with all my expansions i own most of them so don’t see why i should have to pay hundreds for them just to play. i have even tried clearing the cache & uninstalling as advised by one support person

List of games that are greyed out

    • Sims 3 world adventures
    • sims 3 70’s 80’s 90’s stuff
    • sims 3 diesel stuff
    • sims 3 generations
    • sims 3 katy perry sweet treats
    • sims 3 master suite stuff
    • sims 3 outdoor living
    • sims 3 supernatural
    • sims 3 university life
  • rhiannabow4  I've merged your post with the master thread for this issue.  You'll need to go back to EA support, unfortunately.  But this time, just ask for the "entitlements" for the missing packs, and point out that since you can use the content in Windows, you should have access to it in macOS as well.  While EA doesn't support second-hand purchases, that isn't relevant to this issue—either codes work or they don't, and yours work in Windows.

When chatting with a support rep, you can link this master thread, with the solution from EA_Solaire, as a reference.

  • Hello

I own The sims 3 base game and expansions. In EA app on Mac, the Sims 3 appears as "Available on Windows" only. I need the 64-bit Mac version added to my EA account. help.ea.com is error 500, so I'm contacting you here.

    Thank you

  • 11bkp4odgxs5  I've merged your post with the master thread for this issue.  You'll need to contact EA customer support to get the "entitlements," as they're called, for the 64-bit versions of your content added to your account.  If this link doesn't work:

    https://help.ea.com/en/customer-care/

try a different browser, or a different device.

You can also link this thread, and in particular the accepted solution from EA_Solaire, when chatting with the support rep.  Live chat will likely work much better than email support.

I bought the DVD version of the sims 3 and downloaded EA and redeemed my key, but in the EA App it only shows as available on Windows. It says i require the 64 bit version as my mac can’t run the 32 bit version as its too old.
