Removing serial code?

I have a new windows 8 laptop. It's great, except it refuses to run TS2... So I'm thinking of getting The Sims 3 and the pets expansion. I've looked around the web, and it seems the only way I'll be ...

The serial code will be registered to your account and you can't change that. The de-autorizing is for de-authorizing a certain machine. So if it doesn't work on Windows 8, you can de-authorize the machine and are free to install it on your brother's computer but you will need to log in to YOUR Origin account to play it on there.

You can't sell it cause it's on your account and there's nothing you can do about it. I believe even if you went out and bought the disc version, you will still need Origin and register with the new versions of the game.

EA doens't want us to buy second-hand games or sell them.

The only idea I have what you could try is go on Ebay and see if anyone sells a older Sims 3 game still sealed. The disc ones that were sold before 2012 don't require Origin or a registeration to play. So you could try without registering and then if it doesn't work out for you, you could sell that copy cause the serial code wasn't used. You will need to patch the game to 1.50 in order for it to work on Windows 8 though.

    Hope that makes sense.
