report a bug in sims 3

My sims 3 is showing nudity.

  • @bev6usa  In your TS3 folder in Documents (my path is Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\) there will be five cache files:

    CASPartCache.package

    compositorCache.package

    scriptCache.package

    simCompositorCache.package

    socialCache.package

Don't worry if you can't see the .package extension on the end of the files; they're still the ones you want.  Just drag them to your trash or recycle bin and empty it.  They'll regenerate every time you launch the game.  It's good practice to delete these files regularly, and many of us do so at the end of each play session.

  • @bev6usa  If you have mods or cc, remove them from your TS3 folder, clear your cache files (especially scriptCache.package), and test out your game.  Some third-party content can have this effect, although that content shouldn't be discussed here with any specificity.  But if your newly vanilla game doesn't have this bug, you can add your content back a bit at a time, and hopefully you'll isolate the cause of this glitch.

If you don't have any mods or cc, try repairing the game in Origin.  (Right-click on the TS3 icon in your library to see the option.)  If this doesn't help, drag your entire TS3 folder (not just pieces, the whole thing) out of Documents and onto your desktop.  When you launch the game again, a fresh, clean folder will spawn with content.  Your saves will still be in the old folder but won't be available to load from the Main Menu.  Start a new save and see if the problem recurs.  If not, you can move your saves and other content from your old folder into your new one, a little at a time, and test the game to make sure you're not seeing the glitch anymore.
