Says problem with internet connection - but I am connected

I successfully downloaded The Sims 3 Starter Pack with the Sims 3, High End Loft Stuff Pack, and Late Night expansion pack from Origin.  I open the Sims 3 launcher and click to play but the game will...

@chloclemente  Is this the problem you're having?

If this isn't the error you're seeing, please describe when it happens, and take a screenshot and attach it to a post.  If this is the error, but the workaround doesn't help you, please list the packs you've installed, and any you would like to install but haven't yet.
