Screen Stutter / Lag / Freezing
Same problem here, fresh install, no saved games, no custom content, just base game, paradise island and town life stuff.
Tryed with base game alone, then only paradise island, and only town life, ...

The game stutters even with fresh install of the base game alone, no CC, no saved games on.
This makes no sense to me at the moment why yours is not working and mine is. Have you updated your BIOS? I have to update mine and this is a process according to the ASUS web. is your sims version a new version after 2012? If it is the diffrence between you and I is I have an old 2010 version of the sims. My version you did not need origin to play or to be on line. Can you left click on the TS3W file and start the game without the launcher or origin?

I got my base game in 2009 when the game came out and all my disks are physical copies.
I have the discs but Im using downloads and my download is the older version. You should have downlaod versions in your origin if you have the discs and registerd them. Maybe try the download versions instead?
did you read the other part in that message about updating your BIOS?
How would updating my BIOS do anything? My BIOS is version 18.02 And the computer store will usually update it if an update is available and i had it in last week.
When I first got my computer in Augest of last year it ran all EP up to Island Paradise great. I had a 660 Ti then. But in a few weeks the game started to run awful and it's been that way ever since. The 760 was put in recently.

have you tried removing just IP and see if the game works without IP? That EP has a lot of bugs. I stopped playing it on my old computer. It will be a while before I install IP to see if I get issues.
Your computer is a laptop correct? If it is maybe changing your card changed something? If I were in your situation I would contact ASUS directly. You are not supposed to change cards in a laptop. Maybe your new card is not meshing with your laptop? I know with this ASUS Laptop you can add more ram but changing the card I would not do.
Anyway the same sad old EA story, they sell faulty products. See Simcity, is completely broken in the core algorhytms. Wasted money.
I work with computers, I know how to update, setup things and make things work, the problem is not driver this, bios that, the problem is that their software has problems. I bought Island Paradise and cannot play it. Also the base game is unplayable after 1.67 update.
The worst thing it that you guys are here to help me and other people, spending your valuable time, doing the work that Maxis/EA should DO!
They develop faulty products and do not spend a cent for customer support because some nice guys like you make their work for them.
No one knows how EA programed this game but us players know it's messed up. IP is really messed up and I would try to play without IP it until EA gets around to fixing it. Since you are tec savy have you seen this error in your DxDiag at all AEAPPINVW8 . Its a windows 8.1 error has somthing to do with video .Im trying to get to the bottom of it. Im on the phone with microsoft right now. I have windows 8, not 8.1 but some microsoft updates apply to both 8 and 8.1, My computer is not configured to accept 8.1 updates so my computer is blocking these updates. Im tyring to find out if AEAPPINVW8 is somethng serious but if you google it it is effecting all kinds of computers and all diffrent video cards. It's definatley a windows issue. Ill be back with an answer to this once I get off with microsoft
It's wierd, my 8 month old HP laptop, quad core, windows 8, AMD med level graphcs card can play Island Paradise, I started having problems 2 months after playing it with saves so I moved to another town. Why Island paradise was Ok for a while on a cheaper laptop and your having issus on an awesome computer???? I am at a loss
AEAPPINVW8 error, microsoft thinks it has to do with an update to the customer experience improvement program. They disabled it in my computer, want me to run my computer for 24 hours, run a new DxDiag and see if the errors are still there. They are calling me back tomorrow
