Serial number invalid and I'm the origianl owner.

What is giving you the invalid message - the game or Dragon Valley? 

You uninstalled the game or DV?

Sorry, I uninstalled the whole Sims 3 game.

I then reinstalled, but the seriel number for the game does not work.

I only found out later,  that the seriel number can only be used it seems once.  If I known that I would not uninstalled the game, but rather have made screen shots of the errors

No, not at all. It can only be used once in terms of registration - not reinstallation.

Manually uninstall the game and try reinstall it again - there are probably traces left of the game on your PC. That will most likely fix the problem. 

With DV - what error message were you getting?

I manually uninstalled the Sims 3 but I still get the same error after inputting the serial number.  (Now notice the message is as follows:  " Please enter the entire Registration Code found either in your confirmation email, your game manual (This is the one I'm using) / product packaging, or game card."

"you have entered an invalid code.  Please check that you entered the code correctly."  (I've double check the code and it does correspond with the serial number which is provided.)

Could it be that when I originally installed the game I did not have internet and to install the Expansion I needed to register and put in my Serial number on the site that it does not now want to except the serial number which I have.

The errors I had after installing the DV was "scrip errors" if I remember it correctly.  It kept on saying that I can run application with out, but then it just "Hang" saying no had the same effect.    But I can't say the details as I don't remember.

I contacted EA.  The serial number which I inputted was incorrect and was for the expansion version which came with the original CD.

They supplied me with an another code and requested that I download the game. 

I did and now able to play Sims 3 again.
