@ebbasykes This is a pretty typical sign of save corruption. If you quit without saving and reload, do you get the same result? Please delete the five cache files in Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 3 before trying:
- CASPartCache.package
- compositorCache.package
- scriptCache.package
- simCompositorCache.package
- socialCache.package
If that doesn't help, try loading a backup save. Even if you've never deliberately made one, the game keeps the data from the second-to-last time you saved. Inside this same Sims 3 folder, open the Saves folder and you'll see a folder for your save name plus another with the same name and a .backup extension (e.g. SunsetValley.sims3 and SunsetValley.sims3.backup). Delete the .backup and rename the save (e.g. SunsetValley1.sims3), and it will be available to load from the Main Menu.
If this doesn't help either, please let me know which mods you use, if any, and whether you'd be willing to add a few others to try to fix the problem.
