You can merge families by way of edit town you can click on a household your not playing, split up the household or evict them and then place them in another household. However I would not do this on a pregnant sim. You could mess up her prgnancy and the baby may never age

Limit to household. This game uses a lot of ram to save the game. More sims in your household bigger the save files. Your game would start to crash with more sims. You still may get this problem with having 8 sims in your house.  I even notice my game plays a lot smoother if I don't have 8 sims in my house.

@BGH22 do you have a source for your first statement? I have moved countless of pregnant sims and they have been completely fine. My game also runs a lot smoother with less sims, so that definitely is a factor.

However, @friends2781056 you say you have two additional spaces? Is that to make 10 or 8? What happens if you move the family to her household and then the family back into their old home? Does that work?

Yes I do have a source about moving pregnat sims. It's happened to me more than once. My children would not age I had to delete them out of the game as it was preventing other children in my game from not aging up. Once I got rid of the children that cause the corruption all the rest of the children would age up. Why I have this problems and you don't ??? I even actually had this problem on an old game back from 2010 too seperate from this newer game I have.

So my advice is if she does not know if it will corrup her children or not better safe than sorry. Whats the big deal about letting that child age up a little and then merge. You can always use the cheat by taking them into cas if you dont like the names or traits the computer gves you.

do you have any pets in the game ? as the amount of pets can make a difference to the household total too as they count as sims  but max pets is 6... max sims is 8.... any combo goes for example

7 sims 3 pets
6 sims 4 pets
5 sims 5 pets
4 sims 6 pets

That will only make 8, I didn't know you could have 10 household members???

I do know my aging issue with the children was caused by a move during pregancy. It has happened more than once in diffent games that were played on diffrent computers. No mods CC etc. One game played back in 2010 and the game I started in 2013. EA is aware there is a disappearing baby issue. While I was on the phone with them the other day they asked me how I fixed the problem.

And like op asked with pets you can have 10 in the house? I have pets but I don't have it installed and don't play that ep. I know you can only have 8 that includes robots if you have ITF

yep BUT 8 sims (people) is the max number +2 pets one of my households is 8 sims and 2 horses if I want another horse or have the horse have a foal then i have to move out a sim
