This has been an ongoing deal since I upraded to Win8. The whole sims gig runs fantastic and very smooth now- with the exception of the simport. I have a level 10 singer that I like to try to port out daily or host with. The only way I can get him out is if I see someone has offered to host one, then I can send him that way successfully. I don't believe my hosting requests are getting out, but I used to host almost daily, now have no one accepting the invites (that part may just be a social deal from my end, will advise).
When porting, what comes up is the spinning "booking tour" gig for a few minutes then it notifies me that it failed to book instead of bringing up the "saving game" placard.
1> NO CC here (checked each char individually, went through buy/build and CAS meticulously twice to insure this). Have tried with fresh chars in new worlds and still cant port em out.
I have tried booking several times from the very beginning when the world pops up when I am sure I'm still connected. Still unbable to book.
Could this be a windows 8 security deal, maybe? Any help, suggestions appreciated.
Thank you
I have found that it is impossible to send out a request to host (I don't have anyone to send out on tour to be hosted so I can't confirm that end) in a blanket request to all friends; however, it seems to have a higher chance when sending it out individually.
I run the Win7 OS, and many of the friends I have added from the Sims community for the intention of using SimPort regularly have the same issues. As I understand it the issue is happening on all OS.
It would be nice if this issue was fixed, or at least addressed in some fashion.
