Sims 3 - 16 digit code needs to be 20 digits

I've already looked at other pages. I've not found a solution. I've emailed Humble Bundle, where I got the code from. I got told to come here. I don't even know where to begin with contacting EA, ev...

To update - I've gotten in contact with someone in the live chat, a one "Ashish S" who has given me a new, 20 digit key to The Sims 3, a 15% discount on my next purchase (within restrictions) and has instructed me to - once I have downloaded them, instigate another chat to get the keys to the other DLC's thgat were included (Late Night and High End Loft Stuff) - Currently, they don't have the ability to get keys to the Date Night DLC, however they instructed me to come to them later when they have that ability.

I can't ask for more than that.

I'm listing this as a solution as it is the best solution I've come across so far and I encourage others to do the same.

I have only a 16-digits code in my Origin client! Nothing works now!

We’re aware of the 16 digit / 20 digit conflict issues with Sims 3 Starter Pack. We didn't become aware of the problem, until we saw a pattern in where users were redeeming the product code.

If you redeem the 16 digit humble code in the client, your game details page should have a proper 20 digit key for installing the game. (However it is still possible to have not gotten an updated 20 digit key)

If you unfortunately redeemed the game through www.origin.com/account it would retain the same 16 digit key instead of issuing a proper 20 digit key needed for the game. [For some who tried this and we redirected you to the thesims3.com to redeem your code this was also incorrect. This was our mistake]

We're are also working on the overall longevity game redemption issues on our side.

We are extremely sorry for the mixture of confusion and frustration that this has caused.

We will be working the next 24 hours on automatically updating all accounts that were affected by this glitch, to ensure you get a proper key for the game. I assure you that we will get this fixed.

I would also like to say thank you to everyone who has participated in the HumbleBundle and has helped raise money for charity, but again we are sorry for this issue, and we're working to resolve this.

Yeah, Hi.

I've already seen this post in like, several hundred other similar thread to this one and if you actually took the time to read this page rather than doing as I described and slapping me with some cookie cutter response, you'd know that this was the case and I've already read your linked forum post.

It's not helpful.

He clearly said that the team is working on it, and you just have to wait.
What fixed it for me was contacting the live chat (Though the wait time is a least an hour) They sent me a new code almost instantly.

  I was to the live support 3 times by now, asking for a 20er key every time and never got one.
  Not sure whether I should complain about them being 12h behind to their "will be fixed within the next 24h" schedule or the fact they apparently treat people randomly different.
  But hey, it's EA, at least they didn't erase Origin or stuff like that.

  I guess the concept of cookie cutter is unknown. That's a shame.
  I'm aware they're working on it. I'm also aware it's almost been 24 hours since the last update in the forum post he/she/it provided.
  I've also stated I'm waiting for an advisor. Since this has gone unread, I'll assume illiteracy is also a concept not grasped and provide pictorial evidence.

  I understand there's a wait. I'm waiting. I've been waiting for 45 minutes so far and will continue to wait.
  I just don't see what's stopping them from opening a thread asking for people having an issue so they can "instantly" provide codes that way. Shouldn't be hard to check if they have the game.
  Or maybe it is. Everything else seems to be for them. My heart bleeds.
