Sims 3 - Black apartment

Hello

I created a new Sim and decided to get an apartment. However, when I look inside the apartment everything is jet black. Everything surrounding the apartment is visible and other types of homes don't have this problem.

    New game new Sim seems the one here same as yours is the lower floor apartments ,since this is a new game for me those apartments aren't filled yet by NPC's

     your apartment on the upper most floor should look this image 2 your apartment and next doors

    image 3 middle floor (i have the walls down ) blacked out

    we don't get to choose which apartment we want to live in the game assigns us an apartment so check the top most (image 2) if yours look like that all is well

     houses will not look like the blacked out apartment , but apartment blocks will

    Does the house have one or two apartments ? Usually live in one and the others are blacked out but here it looks like it didn't unblack the one you're using.

    I haven't played for a while so tagging @rumbutter. Maybe she can help better.

    sorry for the late reply which world is this in and which apartment so i look in my own game and see whats up

    I tried loading the save but it says the save was part of an expansion that I don't have anymore.

    @iso12000

    that may be a expansion/stuff pack launcher error message if any pack is unticked it will give an message something along the lines this save was saved with an ep or sp you don't have or installed

      in your launcher if your up to date with 1.69 version check the expansion/stuff manager make sure the packs are ticked in (not install) just ticked in see image for a example

    That seems to be it. I changed the view to different floors and I'm able to see my apartment. Thanks for your help!
