Sims 3 - Black Screen When Starting Up. What Do I Do?

Hello there!

My Sims 3, when starting up, gives me a black screen with the spinning wheel. It allows me to go to the launcher, but when I get farther than that, it totally bugs out. Help?

Here's a little backstory:

Yesterday, my game was just fine. When I downloaded the rest of my CC today that I had from my previous computer (that totally killed itself), it wouldn't start up. I'm so confused and super anxious to start playing! My last resort is uninstalling the game. Any options?

I also tried to uninstall a few things, but it just led me to the same screen too...this time with troubleshooting (that doesn't give much help)!

Please help!

    Hello,

    Sadly this is a error ☹️ but you can fix it by just reinstalling the game I know it takes a while but its totally worth it :D

    @MissFlxwers

    Uninstalling and reinstalling is a last resort. Have you moved your Sims 3 folder from Documents > Electronic Arts and then tried to launch the game again? Is the CC you tried to install compatible with whatever patch version you're running?
