Sims 3 - Life time (Game Options)

Hi,

Can any clever bod out there help me?

After downloading the 1.50 patch, I noticed that my game was really sluggish, so decided to uninstall all my sims games and defragged my computer.

After many hours re-installing the games and re-downloading the new patch, I went to start a new game, but found that I am now unable to change the lifespan on my sims (normal life of 90 days is shown but all the sliders are greyed out so can't move them).

Am I being an idiot  and forgotten to click something that will allow me to change the ages etc, or is there a real problem? I've no problem changing the free will etc, and I don't appear to have any problems with the other tabs (ie. video, details, etc).

 ☹️

(If it helps I'm not running anything but the base games i.e. no CC or downloads).

  • Did you actually start a game ?

You can only set the age span once you've started a game.

Do you have the Enabled Aging box checked? I forgot to do that once. 😕mileywink:

That's the only thing I can think of. Sorry if it doesn't help.

    Thanks guys!!

The enable aging was grayed out too in options from the main menu, so couldn't click that Supernaturalstar, but you were right Crinrict, I went into the options via my new game and ta-da!

    Thanks again guys you're awesome!
