Re: Redeemed Sims 3 codes but wont download as says only available on windows?

I have had The Sims 3 base game and a handful of DLCs laying around as physical copies for some years and wanted to redeemed the codes, to be able to play the games on my Macbook Air (M1 2020, running MacOS 26.3.1). I redeemed the codes using the EA App, as recommended by the official documentation:

The issue I am facing is that the automatically downloaded installer is incompatible:

When I go to the "Library" menu in the EA App and scroll down to "Unavailable games" section, I see that The Sims 3 version is stated to be only available for Windows:

After some digging on Google I came across forum posts on Reddit and here as well, stating that this seems to be related to a 32-bit vs 64-bit version of the game, where 32-bit applications are no longer supported on modern MacOS versions:

I have been in contact with EA Live customer support, but they were unable to help me?

Av3nz your post has been merged into the current main thread on this- please read over the accepted solution listed here for more information.

Try reaching back out to live support to get the 64-bit versions added to your account- I'd also recommend attaching this forum conversation when you reach out there so the team has additional info to reference on this.
