Sims 3 - University Life - won't download

I just bought and downloaded the sims 3 university life, it finished downloading but now won't install. Each time it comes up with a message saying "Setup has detected that Sims 3 is corrupt or not properly installed. Setup is not able to continue". How do i fix this?
