I attempted to install the new 64 bit game and it downloaded everything seemingly fine, but now it's stuck on finalizing. When I click on the game it say "Install" and I have no options to repair.
I am getting really sick of the lack of accountability with EA on just how horrible Origins is- every time I do something new I end up in support chat for hours. I would really appreciate any help anyone can give.

The same thing is happening to me. I did download the 64-bit version 3 days ago and it was working fine but today it is stuck on finalizing. EA and origin are literally so unreliable.

I’m having the same issue. Was so excited when I heard the 64 bit version was finally released only to end up frustrated and disappointed when I found out I still could not download or play it. Wtf

@zachary_r_taylor and @Strawcherry7498 Please post the full specs of your Mac, including operating system as described here:
Please also let me know whether you've ever had the 32-bit version of Sims 3 installled on this computer.
@lalasteez Try repairing the game in Origin: open your game library, right-click on the Sims 3 icon, and select Repair. If that doesn't work, run the Origin reset tool for macOS and repair again.

Ive been having this exact same problem too, and I don't know what to do. Ive tried resetting origin and deleting and reinstalling origin, but nothings worked so far. I tried asking live support but they just said its an issue many people have had, and that I should just wait it out. But, youre one of three people ive also seen with this issue so I dont think its very widespread enough for them to care that much.
