I attempted to install the new 64 bit game and it downloaded everything seemingly fine, but now it's stuck on finalizing. When I click on the game it say "Install" and I have no options to repair.
I am getting really sick of the lack of accountability with EA on just how horrible Origins is- every time I do something new I end up in support chat for hours. I would really appreciate any help anyone can give.
Ive been having this exact same problem too, and I don't know what to do. Ive tried resetting origin and deleting and reinstalling origin, but nothings worked so far. I tried asking live support but they just said its an issue many people have had, and that I should just wait it out. But, youre one of three people ive also seen with this issue so I dont think its very widespread enough for them to care that much.

@putridpicklemilk Try doing a clean uninstall of Origin; the reset tool does miss one file:

Restart your computer before trying to install Sims 3 again.
If that doesn't help, please make sure Origin has full disk access. Click the Apple icon in the upper left corner of your screen, select System Preferences, then Security & Privacy, then the Privacy section, and scroll down to Full Disk Access. (It has a folder icon.) Add Origin to the list if it's not already there. Then run the Origin reset tool, restart your computer, and try to install.
If that doesn't help either, do another clean uninstall of Origin, create a new user account on your Mac, and try installing into that account. Make it an admin account; the username should contain only letters and numbers, no special characters, accents, etc.
