Sims 3 Achievements not Unlocking PC
Hey so I recently started playing the sims 3 again cause of Quarantine and I'm playing Island Paradise in the town Isla Paradiso. (The town is sooooo buggy!!) But anyways I Wanted to Unlock the Achievement "Have a Mermaid Baby", I got my female sim to become a mermaid and made her try for a baby with her human sim and they had twins. None of the twins were mermaids I checked with NRAAS. So I turned the Male sim into a mermaid and tried again. The baby was a girl and I checked with NRAAS and it said she was a mermaid. When she was born it was in the house and not in the hospital. I expected to receive the Achievement like right as soon as the baby was born and Nothing. So I thought maybe when she turned into a Toddler it would show up. So i didn't age her up automatically I waited the 3 sim days for her to age up and threw her a birthday party. She aged up and NOTHING!! I'm so confused Why isn't the Achievement Unlocked?? She has the Scales and everything. Is it maybe because I have Overwatch and NRAAS installed?? Can someone please help me!?!
(Oh by the way I also Received another achievement called "Here's the Dish" But it's like glitched or something I cannot find it anywhere! It shows up on my page but I can't find it in my Badges)
Edit: I have found the "Here's the Dish" Badge but My account is still registering that I didn't have the mermaid baby ☹️
@MadiiLuvhsYuh Your mods wouldn't have any influence on your ability to earn badges. What's more likely is that the file that keeps track of badges is corrupt and not recording your achievements properly. You can delete the file to regenerate a new one, although any progress towards other badges will also disappear. So if you have others you're trying to complete that take more work, like write a certain number of books, you might want to hold off until you either finish those or confirm that they're not going to work either.
Go into Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Downloads, and you'll see two folders labeled with long strings of numbers. Each one may have a ChallengeData.package inside. Delete them both. The game will create new ones the next time you launch it.
By the way, since you're badge hunting, keep in mind that the "Who keeps sending these?" badge (find 10 messages in a bottle) is broken. It can't be completed except on disc installs that are only patched to 1.55, the patch level that was current when Island Paradise was released. Otherwise, there's no way to make it work.
