Running Mavericks and Sims 3 is up to date. Nothing except Sims expansion packs installed (no custom content).
Just got Island Paradise and found we can't launch it...
After some digging around, I tried putting other expansion disks in and launching, only to find that The Sims insists on launching as Into the Future and asking for the disk.
Not sure what to do here... any advice appreciated!

It's not actually a problem - if fact if it was asking for your Island Paradise disc, I'd be worried. What happens with the games (base and expansion packs) is that they are all really adding to one collective game. So, you can have all the expansion packs and play them all at once. You must have the most recently released game disc though to play the games though. Into the Future was released after Island Paradise therefore, the game wants the Into the Future disc because it is the most recently released. It doesn't matter that you bought Island Paradise afterwards.
