The sims 3 games/packs are large in size. When you download a file(s) it is downloaded to a buffer. The last thing the download has to do is be copied to it's destination folder and closed. Either it's a rights issue or more likely you don't have enough free space to complete the copy. There are other reasons but these are the most likely.
No I have plenty of space I even did a recovery on my computer and made it like new so space isn't the issue I unistalled my sims 3 base game and all of my other expansions and out of those 4 only generations finished downloading but since th base game hasn't downloaded I can't even play that !

Make sure nothing is blocking the connection to Origin and if you're on a wifi, try using a LAN instead.
I'm at school so wifi is all we have :/ but the connection is fine !

Is it your own computer you're downloading too ?
DId you check if something is blocking the connection to Origin (firewall, antivirus) ?
Yeah I'm downloading it to my computer and nothing should be blocking it I don't have anything that should

So you have no firewall or Antivirus ?
Would you have another possibilty than downloading it at School ? They might have some security measures in place on their wifi that prevents you from downloading.
Did you download other EPs there before ?
Nah they don't which is why I don't see the problem ! And yeah I downloaded pets like last year but I have the disc so then again no but since I've been here I've been on the store getting stuff

Really don't know what to suggest other than to start over and see if you have more luck the second time.
Thats why i uninstalled everything and did a recovery on my computer
