Sims 3 Ambitions downloading

I was downloading sims 3 Ambitions and it had got to 28% downloaded, it then said "download Fail" I tried un-Pausing the download but it would say "download fail" again! I then went to an extream and scraped it downloading and tried to start it again but guess what "download fail!" I don't know if I have done something wrong or anything, please tell me.

    I can only say that the download does not like to be interrupted. Many people have reported problems when the download has been paused. Try connecting with an a cable rather then wifi.

    when i started downloading it, it said 2. something gb and it said that i had 234. something gb free. i dont know what an isp is sorry im rubbish with computers

     isp probider is bt internet but our wifi is having a bad (slow) day today do you think it could be the wifi?
