Sims 3 ambitions profession NOT THERE HELP PLEASE

Hey I am in Bridgeport and I placed the fire station then my Sims lived in an apartment and so I clicked on find a profession, and so he started the fire career. Then I started a new game at a house and (still same city) fire house and everything and firefighter is not in the profession menu. PLEASE HELP!

    Sometimes some jobs are only available at certain times of the day. Click on the Fire Station and it should give you an option thay says something like ''Join fire fighter career'' or ''start fire fighter career''.

    I will try that thank you.  and to  let you know when I press on the firehouse it only gives me visit option.
