Sims 3 Ambitions; There was an error during start up screen.

Hi everyone.

I just bought sims 3 ambitions over 24 hours ago and I installed it and clicked on it and then this popped up "There was an error during start up screen. Please see log for more details". I'm confused and getting very irritated as I have not been able to play the sims for over 24 hours.. It would be great if you could reply as soon as possible.
