Sims 3 Ambitions town didn't install

I used a Sims 3 Ambitions code for Origin yesterday and the town that comes with Ambitions didn't install. I also cannot figure out how to become a firefighter as there is no firehall in the other towns and even when I do add the firehall it doesn't give me that career option. Only Magician and Singer.
