Sims 3 BSOD Help

My sims 3 either crash to desktop or bsod while playing twice today, quite a fed-up experience.

Sometimes it crashed even on saving.

I've played Sims 3 on this pc since I purchased on sep 2012.

My sims 3 tends to crash or bsod more often on towns where families have reached second or third generations and saved plenty of times.

Dosen't happen on fresh new towns with new families though.

Belows my bsod log and system information from dxdiag.

Sims 3 game version updated 1.67.2.024017

  • If anything is defective in your hardware, you can still get BSOD.

As for Sims 4. The specs are not out but I would be very surprised if Windows 7 is not supported. Many still use it. Microsoft has only ceased support for XP. So XP users might not be able to play but Windows 7 should be fine.

BSODs cannot be caused by game software, which do not have access at the lower levels of the system.  Drivers can lead to BSODs, however, the great majority are caused by hardware problems.  In your case, your driver is new enough for the Sims 3, which is an elderly game, but you are overdue to update drivers for any newer software that you use (two and a half years old now).

So what do you suggest further? Because I remember trying to update drivers just recently especially the display driver one but it says it's up to date.

So I did another update just in case for my AMD Radeon(TM) HD 7450A Graphics and the result is

My windows has determined that the best driver for my device is already installed and is up to date.

The link you provided DriverTuner does detect updates require for 5 of my drivers.

1 update for Microsoft ehome infrared Transceiver under Human Interface Devices.

1 update for RealTek PCIE CardReader under Memory Technology Driver.

3 updates under System devices for:

    Xeon(R) Processor E3-1200 v2/3rd Gen Core processor DRAM controller - 0150

Xeon(R) Processor E3-1200 v2/3rd Gen Core processor PCI Express Root Port -0151

    Intel(R) 6 Series/C200  Series Chipset Family PCI Express Root Port 2 - 1C12

However to update the above drivers using DriverTuner I have to made registration fee of around US$29.98. :robotvery-happy:

I also have another two questions to end this:

Even with all latest drivers updated will other factors cause sudden bsod's like one great example system service exception and less minor desktop crash during Sims 3 gameplay cause I also have some mods and other EP installed like University, Generations, Ambitions, Into the future, Island Paradise, World Adventures, Night Life etc?

Will my PC operating systems support Sims 4?

That was a quick google that totally skipped the official URL somehow.  I regret a hastiness that created any confusion.  Microsoft is still a poor choice for obtaining drivers, but the graphics drivers can be totally free from AMD, at their own URL

Have you realize the mistake you made? You made me paid the registration fee for nothing.

That registration fee amount to me is nothing, but its more about the reliability and integrity issue here.
