I can't reinstall my Sims 3 games because my code has already been used (by me)!
My PC broke, so it had to be repaired and formatted. When I bought TS3 on disk, I just installed them on this exact PC in the same Origin account I'm still using (sharigilden). The discs aren't opening the install thing for some reason, I'm always being taken to Origin where it says my codes have already been used and I can't install the game.
I'm kind of frustrated because the games cost a lot when they were new, and I feel extremely cheated because EA customer service always takes forever to get to you if they do at all.
@kiraleedicki If you used this Origin account to install Sims 3 before, the game should already be in your Origin library, from where you can download it for free. There's no need to use a disc to install.
By the way, any base game disc manufactured in September 2012 or later requires Origin to be present and manage the install process; the older ones don't. So that's likely why you're getting the prompt to go through Origin.
If the game isn't in your Origin library, you'll need to contact EA customer support to get it sorted out. But support is swamped right now, so it might take some time to get in contact.
