Sims 3 Crashing After New Update Was Installed

I decided to start playing the Sims 3 again after not going on it for a while.

It prompted me to install the latest Sims 3 update and wouldn't let me play unless I installed it.

So I installed it and now it doesn't work! It worked perfectly fine before the update.

I launch the game, get the menu where you select your game, select my game and then it crashes on the next loading screen and an error appears.

Error Message:

"The Sims 3 has stopped working, Windows you notify you when a solution is found"

After the error message appears the only option it gives you is to close the game.

All of my system requirements are above the recommended.

My System:

Laptop: Lenovo Z585

Processor: AMD A10-4600M APU with Radeon HD graphics 2.30 GHZ

RAM: 8GB

Operating System: Windows 8 64-Bit

800GB free space on Hard Drive

I have also tried adding all of my Sims 3 games into DEP but this has not worked.

Help with this would be very much appreciated.
