Sims 3 Download Error

Recently, or in fact, an hour or two ago, I bought the 3 in 1 package from Origin that included The Sims 3 Base Game, High End Loft set, and Late Night expansion pack. As soon as I bought it, I decided to download it, but it was stuck on "Preparing Download" for such a long time. After that, a message appeared saying: "An unexpected error occurred. Please try again in a few moments. Error: 196613:200". I waited a few moments, just like they told me, I tried again, but the same thing happened again! I tried so many times, but it never worked. Please help! Thank you.

    Hi!

After looking up my problem on YouTube, I finally figured out how to solve my problem.

I got onto my browser, went to settings, and I unchecked the box next to my Proxy server thing. After that, I rebooted my laptop, and it worked!

    Thank you answering anyways!

Try updating to a beta version of origin, i have the newest beta version and never have this issue.

    1. Launch the Origin client and log in to your account.
    2. Select Application Settings from the Origin drop-down menu.
    3. Scroll down to Origin Beta Participation and check the box next to “Update to the beta version if available.” If it’s already checked, you’re good to go.
    4. Click Done to save your settings.
    5. Restart the Origin client to begin your update.

Then there are a whole bunch of suggestions here, which I cannot really specifically recommend or vouch for.

I will ask the other helpers to pitch in though

    Hi!

Thanks for replying! I did everything you told me to do, but I did not see a Done button, nor did I see it update once I restarted the Origin client.

    What do I do now?

  • What browser were you using? I can't find it on either internet explorer or Google Chrome.

for internet explorer go to toolbox > internet options > connections tab > at the bottom in that section there will be boxes that include proxy settings, uncheck them or

Control Panel --> Internet Options --> Connections --> LAN Settings --> Untick Proxy Server
