Sims 3 error code 12

I am addicted to Sims. I recently got generations and have been very frustrated ever since due to the error code 12 I get EVERY time I save. I know that it is due the part of the game called memories and I have been searching for a mod to either turn them off or something to help fix the problem. so I was wondering if you could send me a link to a working mod or fix the problem all together. I have been trying to save often and all those tips to prevent it but it doesn't work. So Please i beg you, fix the problem so me and many other simmers can enjoy the game again!!!
