Sims 3 Game keeps crashing

I have Sims 3 downloaded onto origin and I have three expansion packs which don't show up on origin - Late Night, High End Loft which are from the sims 3 starter pack and then I also have Pets. All my games are from discs purchased in a store.

The game's launcher starts fine and the game loads fine. I play for a random amount of time, sometimes a really short time, sometimes it can be up to an hour, and then the game will crash to my desktop and say "The sims 3 has stopped working".

I don't think I have any files with xctp in my documents\electronicarts\thesims3\ folder that could be crash logs.

My dxdiag information:

  • Thank you for your DxDiag and the other info. Helps a lot.

Do you know if you have a dual graphic card system in your computer (if you don't know, could you please also post the part of DxDiag where it says system devices).

The Intel Chip you have there could definitly do with a driver update. Have this site detect your chip and update the drivers: https://downloadcenter.intel.com/default.aspx

Yeah, doesn't look like you have a card in there.

Try updating the drivers as described in my post above.
