When I try to start my Sims 3 game, the launch screen is white with a puzzled looking sim and text in many languages saying the launcher is down for maintenance. I have been playing the Sims 3 for many years and have never seen this. Does anyone know why this has happened and if there is anything I can do about it?
I just logged into my EA app after a few months break. I logged in fine using my correct email and password. I then open the Sims 3 launcher and it isnt logged in. I type my email and password in and it says "invalid username or password" when I know it's correct. Same happened when I tried to log in on the main menu on the Sims gsme too. So my login works on the EA app and website but not on the sims app. I searched forums and tried a few things - cleared my cache and browsing history, changed my password and renamed my sims folder as 'OLD' and created a new one - no luck. I need to be logged in to get all my bought items from the store. Please help :(

This is to help people know if this sims 3 site is down or not down so people know if they can use online features or not in sims 3 and give awareness to ea or maxis. Updates can be seen in comments. First comment will let you if the site is down or not to start with.

Sims 3 site is down and you can not use online features in the game, The store or the exchange. Went down at around 12:30pm BST time. Keep in mind my timezone is BST so if the site comes back or goes down when I'm asleep I can't update it and will have to update it when I'm able to.

If you want updates I made a post where I will update it when the site goes down and back up when I can. If you follow this then you should get a notification but keep in mind of my time zone. Mine is BST and it's 6pm so I can't update it at points in time when I need to turn in for the night but I do allow others to post updates. Update. Site is still not up yet and it's now 6pm in my time zone. So I haven't got much time left. Around 2-4 hours left before I turn in for the night but I forgot to say your allowed to post updates on the site status when I can't to help others out. But please keep this a site status only topic. Anything else I will have mods on here removed.
