Sims 3 Island Paradise black screen

A while back, I bought the Sims 3 Island Paradise expansion pack through Origin. For the first hour or so it worked great, my laptop didn't have any problems running the game, and all was well. Howev...

    @AseccualPlant  I see two issues. Your Nvidia GeForce 940MX drivers are out of date (7/31/16). Go to the Nvidia support site and download and install newer drivers. There seems to be an issue with the ICEsoundAPO64.dll file provided by ASUS. Go to the Realtek site and download this file and replace it. This should stop the error.

    Thank you so much! You're the first person that has actually solved this problem (it took me a surprisingly long time to actually come to an EA site to report the issue.)
