SIMS 3 KEEPS ASKING ME TO UPDATE TO THE LATEST PATCH
MY GAME KEEPS ASKING ME TO UPDATE TO THE LATEST PATCH IN ORDER TO USE MY DOWNLOADED ITEMS, I HAVE ALREADY DONE IT TWICE!!

@Jessicamillsxx so you should download the super patch of 1.67 here: http://answers.ea.com/t5/The-Sims-3/FAQ-Current-Patch-1-42-Manual-links-and-more/td-p/67858
There is a newer patch, but it's not necessary that you download it - so once you've downloaded the super patch, you can install the new patch if you want or not (Origin will automatically update the game for you)
If the super patch asks you if you want to overwrite current game version, say yes. This should solve your problem.

Do you know anything about registering a game to get additional content?
When I go to the store it says that certain items, for example the 'Head Start Playpen' has a green star underneath it saying 'Item has Additional Gameplay' does that mean I can use it within my game for free or do I have to buy it for 440 SimPoints?
